Aerospace & Defence
With almost a quarter of the global market, the UK Aerospace industry is ranked as the largest in Europe and 2nd only to the US
Boasting world-class expertise in the design and manufacture of aircraft and aircraft parts (such as landing gear, actuation, avionics, fuel and power supply systems) and a history of manufacturing wings for half of the world's large aircraft, the UK is at the forefront of design and manufacture for this highly competitive sector.
With substantial growth forecast for the sector up to 2030, demand for civil aerospace stands at 56,700 aircraft, 27,000 of which are expected to be in the 100-plus seater category. In order to meet this demand, the industry is expected to need more than 12,000 specialist engineers each year for the next decade.
Against this backdrop, Huxley Engineering's Aerospace and Defence division partners with the whole of the UK Aerospace & Defence sector to support its growth and ensure it remains one of the worlds' best. Our specialist teams, Researchers and Resourcers understand the highly technical and specialist nature of this vitally important sector, which employs circa 100,000 people directly, and many more indirectly, across the UK.
We've developed a range of services to meet the needs of this sector; working closely with aerospace and defence employers to connect with the specialist engineering talent they need to be flexible, agile and competitive for the immediate and long-term.
